little things that can change the world
Here, I’m inviting you to a conversation about the fact that it does matter. We want the world to be a better place. We’ve walked down the street and thought, “If only they did what I can see that they should do, then the world would be a little better.”
In 1972, meteorologist Edward Lorenz presented a paper,
“Does the Flap of a Butterfly’s Wing in Brazil Set Off a Tornado in Texas?” While he didn’t really answer that question, this image has become an icon for the profound potential of small changes. One small action on our part can lead to a small action on our neighbor’s part, and thus the world can change.
Most of these actions are small and easy to accomplish.
Some may change us, at least a little. Let us dare to answer the challenge of how to make the world work better, one touch,
one flap of a wing, at a time, and see where it leads. My bet is that together we can change the world. It begins here...
